Dipermet
Analysis of Hyrogen Diffusion in Steel
Dipermet instrument is designed to test hydrogen permeability of steel sheets.
- Simultaneous analysis of 2 samples
- The sample plates can be reliably tested without palladium plating
- DIPERMET can be used standalone or with the PC App, supplied together with the device
Principle of Operation
It generates hydrogen in atomic form by electrolysis on the surface of the plate, with one electrode being the sheet sample itself and the other a platinum electrode. The electrolyte temperature is controlled. DIPERMET uses a hydrogen sensor to measure the change in hydrogen concentration over time in an airtight chamber on the opposite side of the steel plate.
Applications
- EN 10209 Cold rolled low carbon steel flat products for vitreous enamelling
